At the Hollows
The Brief
‘At the Hollows’ is a fabulous new eatery in Hoole. It is the sister of the more established ‘The Suburbs’ and is, in part, responsible for Hoole’s hip new tag of ‘Notting Hoole’. We were asked to create a suite of menus that reflected the bohemian interior and small-plate decadence of the restaurant.
The Solution
We developed a pen and ink illustration style to run across the family of menus. The main menu also serves as a placemat for diners. The children’s menu is fun without being patronising – no pirates or monkeys here! The comprehensive wine and cocktail menus are visually clear and allow the clever narratives to shine through.
